Liebster Award

It's award season over here, oh yeah! Today I'm answering the questions from the lovely Heather, pretty Meghan and gorgeous Natalie - They have nominated me for the awesome Liebster Award! Yay, thank you ladies! The Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. "Liebster" is a German word, which means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.

1. I'm an introvert with a zest for life.
2. When I grow up I would like to become a life coach.
3. I'm a body butter collector. 
4. Sometimes when I'm alone I eat Strawberry Rice Krispies for supper. I'm silly/lazy like that. ;)
5. I recently appeared in Glamour Magazine.
6. I once tasted a dried Mopane worm. It was horrible and tasted like tumeric. Yuk!
7. Years back I used to teach at a little Christian pre-school with the most adorable kiddies.
8. I can make real good spagetti bolognaise, because...
9. I once had an Italian boyfriend who used to cook all the time and who gave me some tips.
10. I'm planning a European holiday.
11. I love handmade art and jewelry.

1. Do people in your every day life know about you blog?

Yes, my sisters and my boyfriend...

2. Where is your favourite place to holiday and why?

Cape Town for sure - I love all the stunning food markets they have. My dream destination however would be Italy, I love their cuisine.

3. Do you believe in Soul Mates? Or love at first sight?
I believe in vibes... But sometimes they burn out quickly, so love at first sight? No. Soul Mates? Maybe.

4. What sports or cultural activities have you participated in?
I'm useless at sport... 

5. Are you more of a bag person or clutch/sling?
I love a good old sling bag.

6. Who is that one friend you can call at 3am  in  the morning? What will your friend think you are calling about?
My sister - these kinda calls are usually relationship related... 

7. Team Aniston or Jolie.
I'm team Jolie.

8. Have you ever been arrested?
No, never.

9. Favourite band?
The Beegees.

10.What are your hopes for your blog?
To write engaging blogposts that will make readers run back for more.

I'm honest and I try to write engaging blogposts.

2. How long have you been blogging?
One year and eight months...

3. Flats or heels?
Flats.

4. If you could live in any era which would it be?
Mmm, the seventies, love the hippie vibe they had.

5. Which blog is your absolute favorite?
Yes and Yes - I really learn so much from Sarah Von Bargen.

6. Where do you see your blog in 1 year?
More followers that comes back every time - that would be awesome.

7. How important is fashion in your life?
I dress to feel spoiled + pretty. But I will never buy an expensive dress and be broke near the end of the month, eating cheese curls for dinner. Nah!

8. In 5 words how would you describe yourself?
Intelligent, charming, loyal, intense, whimsical

9. Favorite song at the moment?
Get Lucky by Daft Punk & Pharell Williams

10. What would be your one blog related tip for people who want to start blogging?
Find you own voice and stay true to what you love + like.

 Mmm, I wanted a place where I could express myself - I had a pen and paper diary all my life so this was my step higher. :)

Fiend your own voice and stay true to what you love + like.

5. What has been your most successful Social Media Platform?

6. If you could have dinner with anyone who would it be and why?
Antonio Banderas, he's just so charming. 

7. Do you have any green initiatives. charities or social projects that you support?
I support CANSA. Just finished their Relay For Life event.

8.If you could go on a shopping spree and choose any 5 items , what would they be?
Ipad, Just Cavalli perfume, notebook from Typo, shoes from Call it Spring and a dress from Top Shop

9. Choose one ...laptop, Ipad or Cellphone and tell us why?
Laptop, I work from home so without my laptop I'm lost.

10. Choose one ... make-up , perfume or skin care and tell us why?
Make-up, nothing beats a pretty lipstick + mascara.

11. What is your secret obsession that no one knows about? 
Shhh... Can't tell.

Sunshine Award

Yay, I've been nominated with this awesome award by the the lovely Heather from Femme Lifestyle. The Sunshine Award is given to those who inspire us and bring 'sunshine' into our lives. Thank you lady.

Eleven fun facts about me! 

1 - I've been in an American - Snickers Chocolate TV ad as an extra, alongside Jo-Ann Strauss and Tammy Ann Fortuin. Way, way back...

2 - I worked as a radio presenter and had my own show at a community radio station near my hometown.

3 - I love Pina Colada's a lot.

4 - I would like to change the name of my blog.. I like the "adventure" bit but "folksy" - I have no idea where that came from. Also do not want to loose my followers.Yikes!

5 - I love baking and currently I would love to bake my first batch of red velvet cupcakes. Yum!

6 - I have two younger sisters - Verna and Venessa. They are two beauties. 

7 - I love food-markets  The Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock, Cape Town takes my breath away.

8 - I wanted to be a model when I was growing up because...

9 - I'm 1.78 and I always loved my length. 

10 - I love drinking German beer, totally adore their fruity Liefmans Fruitesse - beer made from strawberries and cherries.

11 - I love reading glossy magazines and then tear out pictures to make collages.

A young Antonio Banderas and we would dance and maybe argue a little and then kiss...

2) You have a 1 minute dash in any store , which would it be? and why?
That would be Lush, I love those heavenly products. Then again I love Typo too.

3) Name one item you cannot live without?
Eyebrow pencil.

4) Who is your female icon and why?
Jo-Ann Strauss because she's a powerhouse + go-getter. 

5) If I gave you R500 now what would be the first thing you buy?
I would buy bath-products - I love shower-gels and cream and pretty + sweet smelling soaps. And then I would spoil myself with something nice at a bakery.

6) There is a fire and you can only grab one of the following which do you choose? A handbag , your favourite shoes? or your cosmetics bag?
Handbag, because my ID and bank cards are all in there.

7) What is your all time favourite make-up brand?
Can't choose just one... But I love the Colorstay Foundation from Revlon.

8) What is your all time favourite body product?
The Body Shop, Honeymania Bodybutter, I'm already addicted. ;)

9) What do you consider your best quality?
My list making skills. 

10) What is the anthem/song you live by?
Mmm, this is hard. Don't have one. 

11) What do you think makes your blog unique?
All my adventures and the pictures - I take most myself.
